Corporate site for Stage Entertainment

Stage Entertainment wanted a corporate website that clearly communicated their status as leader in the field of Live Entertainment to their visitors. Using a design that is both visually stunning and professional, as well as an intuitive and clear navigation system, E-mark gave them exactly what they desired. The central theme to the website is the rich history of the world-renowned international productions that the company has made in the past 30 years. The use of the Reddot CMS system ensures that Stage Entertainment can update the website at any time to add the latest news, and no advanced technical expertise is needed to do so.

Balanced navigation

The three pillars of Stage Entertainment's business provided the foundation for the website: Productions, Theatres and Product Development. Navigation within these sections was kept intuitive in order to preserve the international atmosphere. Productions, for example, are displayed on a time bar that stretches from the most recent show in 2010 to the first show, produced by Joop van den Ende Productions in 1971. Visitors can move through the timeline at their own pace and click on any theatre show if they wish to view additional information. Naturally, productions can also be sorted and viewed based on region. It goes without saying that the various subsidiaries, partners, career opportunities and news sources also play an important role in the website. All this is supported visually by many spectacular pictures and video clips.

Experience in the entertainment industry

Ever since 2007, E-mark has been Stage Entertainment's partner for everything regarding online and e-mail marketing. In the past, E-mark was responsible for creating websites for Holiday on Ice and Wentink Events, and they developed viral marketing campaigns to enrich the databases in cooperation with Joop van den Ende Theatre Productions and Arrangements. On top of all this, E-mark is responsible for the e-mail marketing campaigns for all aforementioned parties. Because E-mark has such extensive experience in deploying online media in the entertainment industry, it was a great honor to be allowed to craft the corporate website. We are very proud of the result!

Maarten van Nispen, Director Corporate Communications at Stage Entertainment: "At the end of 2008, it was high time that we gave our corporate website www.stage-entertainment.com a make-over. But when you start investigating your options, you'll quickly discover that you have no idea where to begin. How interactive do you want to be? How slick do you want it to look? Which parts are absolutely necessary and which parts are just for fun?

We were posed with a dilemma: on one hand, we wanted to show the public our productions and make sure visitors would easily click through to the dedicated production websites or our ticket partner. But we also wanted to give professional visitors a good idea of the uniqueness of Joop van den Ende's theatre company Stage Entertainment. After all, we cannot rule out the possibility that our corporate website could prompt other companies to consider forming an alliance with us. As a result, we wanted more traffic.

But we also wanted a content-rich website, where journalists and private individuals could find answers in the middle of the night that they would normally call us about during the day.
E-mark did an excellent job of helping us find the balance between 'need to know' and 'nice to know', between entertainment-related en corporate information, between passive and interactive. We are proud of the website, which for example boasts a comprehensive and aesthetically pleasing overview of all the productions we have made since the seventies.

Lastly, I'd like to make a recommendation to everybody looking to start a web project: dedicate a considerable amount of time to the planning phase and do not underestimate the importance of project management. E-mark can be of invaluable service to you in this respect, but they cannot do it alone. It seems difficult to invest hours upon hours of work in a project like this when there are already so many immediate deadlines, but it's worth it to do it anyway! Good luck."

Inspired?
We’d love to talk to you about it.
