A spectacular show with a stunning website
As one of Stage Entertainment's subsidiary companies, Wentink Events organizes spectacular dinner shows where guests can simultaneously enjoy a luxury meal and top-tier entertainment. Naturally, a vibrant show such as Dinnershow of Dreams requires an equally vibrant website. This is why E-mark developed a website for Wentink Events using the RedDot CMS, as they have done for other Stage Entertainment subsidiaries in the past.
Website management kept very simple
The high level of user friendliness inherent to RedDot ensures the website can be kept up-to-date constantly with the latest pictures, movies, news items and special offers. The fact that all new or modified content is published immediately allows the marketing department to operate with a high degree of flexibility; fresh information can be put online ad hoc. However, the RedDot CMS can also save new or modified texts without publishing them, or add them to the website at a preset date without any additional effort on behalf of the user. The main advantage offered by the RedDot CMS (also known as OpenText) is that users can easily modify web content without needing any specialized ICT experience to do so. Because RedDot makes such a clear distinction between content and formatting, text can simply be added to the corresponding box and the content management system will adjust it to fit the desired lay-out.
The Dinnershow of Dreams website has been online since mid October and has been able to welcome over 80.000 visitors in the first six months of operation. Almost 60.000 of these visitors were so-called ‘unique visitors', individuals who viewed the website for the first time.
A portion of ticket sales, namely tickets for groups larger than 20 people, is handled by the Dinnershow of Dreams website. Regular individual tickets and tickets for groups up to 20 people are sold through TopTicketLine. Website statistics - which are generated automatically by a Google Analytics account - show that 80 group reservations were completed successfully in the first six months.
Expanding the e-mail database
Besides marketing and product sales, Wentink Events has outlined a second goal for the website: expanding the company's e-mail database. The website makes it very simple for visitors to subscribe to the newsletter, which is sent out using E-mark's e-mail application. The e-mail addresses are added to the database automatically, and registered subscribers receive regular updates which consist of news and special offers regarding the show. More than 800 visitors subscribed to the newsletter in the period between October 2008 and March 2009.
